In 2023, firefighters serving the citizens of the districts responded to over 8,700 calls for assistance. These calls spanned a wide spectrum, including structure fires, wildland fires, vehicle accidents, medical emergencies, and various other requests for help. The presence of numerous firefighters or apparatuses on these calls reflects the urgency and complexity of the situations faced by our communities. The Union is diligently working to ensure that fire agencies consistently meet the staffing requirements outlined by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards. This endeavor aims to enhance response capabilities, mitigate risks effectively, and ensure the safety and well-being of both the public and our dedicated firefighters.
