McLane Black Lake Fire Department

McLane Black Lake Fire Department proudly serves a thriving community of over 20,000 residents residing within our expansive 84-square-mile Fire District. Committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of our community, our department offers a range of comprehensive emergency services, including Basic Life Support (BLS) transport services.

We actively engage in collaborative efforts to enhance emergency response capabilities, participating in both the Thurston County Special Operations Rescue Team (SORT) and Washington State’s Fire Resource Mobilization Plan. These partnerships reflect our dedication to staying at the forefront of emergency management and preparedness.

At the core of our operations are 28 full-time uniformed personnel, each contributing their skills and expertise to safeguard our community. This team includes three captains, six lieutenants, 16 firefighters, one assistant chief, one logistics chief, and one fire chief. Their collective commitment ensures a well-coordinated and effective emergency response system.

In addition to our uniformed staff, we are supported by a robust non-uniformed team consisting of a business operations director and an administrative assistant. Their vital roles contribute to the smooth functioning of administrative processes, allowing our uniformed personnel to focus on delivering high-quality emergency services.

Furthermore, our department is strengthened by the invaluable contributions of dedicated volunteer firefighters. This collaborative effort between our full-time and volunteer teams reinforces our capacity to respond swiftly and effectively to emergencies, fostering a sense of community resilience.

As we continue to evolve and adapt to the ever-changing landscape of emergency services, McLane Black Lake Fire Department remains committed to providing prompt, professional, and compassionate care to our community. Together, we strive to uphold the highest standards of service and ensure the safety and well-being of those we are honored to serve.
